CAN’T PICK JUST ONE

It’s really hard to write about one person here that I’ve been particularly moved. I’ve really just been moved by the whole visit. I’ve met so many people who are just utterly fascinated by the American way of life. It’s really nice to hear, considering I think they have such interesting lives. I’ve spoken to people who openly share their experience with the troubles. They will tell me horrible things that have happened to them and to their families and friends. I’ve met people who just don’t feel comfortable sharing, which is completely understandable. I’ve also met people who just say it’s not worth talking about because they are trying to move on and want the rest of Northern Ireland to do the same. I’ve met people from the gay community. They were brilliant. They were so willing to welcome us and even excited. I’ve met people who are famous because of their work in Northern Ireland and I mean, how fucking cool is that? Martin Lynch was so funny, witty and just downright genius. On top of the fabulous people of Northern Ireland, I’ve met my housemates. They’re wonderful. Every one of them has very uniquely impacted my experience here. I’ve never been so inspired by such a small group of people. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so excited to see the work everyone produces and I’m particularly excited to see everyone work together to get them performed or read!
