We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat: A Ghost Story

In a world where ghosts haunt the open seas . . .

Two siblings come aboard their houseboat, celebrating the deaths of their parents and their subsequent inheritance of the floating domicile.  But as the night goes on, they begin to suspect they are not alone.  They go off to investigate the strange noises they hear, and while they’re gone, who should enter the room but the parents.  They are convinced they’ve killed their children, so now they have the houseboat to themselves.  But then they hear strange noises and they go to investigate.  While they’re gone, who should come in but . . . well, you get the picture.  This goes on for quite a while, until the two pairs finally meet.  Both are convinced they’ve killed the others, and they accuse each other of being ghosts.  When it’s children against parents and at least two of them are dead, “Who you gonna call?”

No, really, they call the Ghostbusters™.  It’s unclear whether or not this organization actually exists in their world.  But it doesn’t matter, because no one can call anyone; no one has cell service.  Their phone plans have all been cancelled since they are all dead.  Dum dum DUUUUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

In the end, a salesman brings a couple on board to show them the houseboat for sale.  Enraged, the family agree to join forces to drive the couple from their houseboat.
