Three arrests after man has ear bitten off during attack

For real? What I’ve noticed around here is that large Irish newspapers enjoy writing about ALL of the news instead of writing about the really important stuff.

But sure, earless men are worth the front page of the website.

This article was so not worth the front page! It doesn’t list the names, or what happened. They stated it was a “hate-crime” but are unsure and it is undergoing further investigation. Here’s all the article said:

“Three people have been arrested after a man had his ear bitten off during an attack.

The 20-year-old was taken to hospital with facial injuries after he was set upon in the Waterworks area of the Antrim Road in Belfast shortly before 10am on Wednesday morning.

His ear was also bitten off during the assault.

Two men – aged 23 and 24 – and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested.

Police have said investigations are ongoing.

Earlier the PSNI said the were treating the attack as a hate crime, but have since said they do not believe that is the case.”

I don’t know how newspapers work here in Northern Ireland, but in America there would be some names and a cause attached to this miniscule article. I was so disappointed by this article’s few details after reading such a gripping headline.

Shucks.
